The Road to Hope Community Support Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides transportation to those who are undergoing Cancer medical treatment. We are currently servicing anyone in the Lac La Biche and Athabasca counties. The treatment centers are located within reason to our service area.
We will pick up our clients at their home, get them to their appointment, and back home again. All at no charge! If they would like to have a companion come along, they are always welcome to do so, also at no charge.
The Foundation puts on a few different events every year to help raise awareness and funds so that we can continue to offer our services to those who need it the most.
Road to Hope was established in December of 2008. It is registered under the Alberta Societies Act and is administered by volunteer Directors. It is also registered under the Canadian Income Tax Act as a charitable organization.
Alberta Pacific Forest Industries Inc. initiated the foundation as their signature charity, they continue to support us today.
of Mark Froehler
Mark was a part of Road to Hope and our Liaison for the Kinsmen Club in Lac La Biche. Upon his passing a scholarship was set up at Portage College for Environmental Studies. At the 11th Annual Road to Hope Golf Classic on September 9th, 2021, we had a table set up in his remembrance accepting donations to the scholarship. We raised $630.00 for his cause.
